Delving deeper into the mechanics, VEA’s MEV bots operate by scanning pending
transactions on the blockchain network. Utilizing advanced algorithms, these bots predict which
transactions will be added to the next block, allowing them to execute orders that capitalize on
these predictions. For instance, in a frontrunning scenario, if a bot detects a large upcoming
transaction that will impact the price of an asset, it will buy that asset before the
transaction is processed and sell it immediately after at a higher price. This is complemented
by sandwich strategies where a bot places orders on both sides of a large transaction to profit
from price movements caused by the transaction itself. These strategies require precise timing
and sophisticated predictive algorithms to ensure profitability while minimizing risks
associated with highly volatile trading environments.
